My friend wants to come with me to japan, but she has a South African passport and a EU passport. She entered korea under her SA passport.
If I put down her EU passport for the tickets would that be a problem for leaving korea?
she wants to do this leave korea with the SA passport, enter japan with the EU one. Leave japan with the EU one, enter Korea with the SA one.
Would that work? |

There is no problem with what she is suggesting. I have done it with my daughter (who travels on 2 passports) on many occasions.
Exit and enter Korea on her SA passport and enter/leave Japan on her EU passport.
It won't be a problem with the airline as she leaves (other than asking to see her ARC (proof of residential status in Korea). She may need to show her SA passport AND her EU passport to get her boarding pass IN Korea (proof that she is entitled to visa free entry to Japan). She will show her SA passport to exit Korean immigration.
She will show her EU passport to enter Japan.
She will probably have to show both passports and ARC (proof of residence) to get her boarding pass to return to Korea.
She will exit Japan on her EU passport and re-enter Korea on her SA passport.
