In a couple of weeks, I'm traveling to the US, spending a week there, then to Belize for 11 days, then back to the US before flying back to Korea. Previous years, I have bought World Nomads insurance, but this year I've read the policy details carefully and have found that the coverage is actually kinda crap.
I need missed connections coverage b/c I fly out of Belize on the Thursday, then out of NYC on the Friday. If there is some reason for the flight to be delayed by more than 6 or 7 hours (hurricane, etc), I'll miss my connection. Both flights are with American Air, but they have been booked as separate flights.
I've found quite a few policies with perfect missed connections coverage, however when I go to book them, they ask me which state I live in, and seem to have no option for non-American (or Canadian in some cases) residents.
So: Can anyone recommend a company that will cover Korean residents? I can do the leg work after that, but if you can tell me the company you've used from here in the past (not World Nomads!), that'd be great. If you know they have good missed connections insurance, even better, but I'm happy to do the further research myself. Google has been failing me so far!
