| Has anyone gotten it done since January and if so is the local one still good. I did mine in November and got it back within three days from the local commissioner, just wondering is getting it done that way still ok or do you have to do a "national" check? Cheers |

| The police certificate that you get from your local Garda station is a national check. I came here recently and used one of those. If you look on this Irish forum: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055471189&page=96 then you will see that everyone who has come here recently used a police certificate that they obtained from their local Garda station and not that other Garda Clearance Cert that you send off to Thurles for. Hope this clears things up! |
