|
|
| So I just recently started tethering, as I don't have net in my room right now, and wanted to know if tethering fell under the unlimited data plan umbrella for IPhones. As far as I can tell it does, however I just wanted to make sure because I know some companies in America are weird about this even though they offer unlimited data plans. |

It's still unlimited. No catches or extra charges.
Keep in mind though if you use it TOO much, i'm guessing gigabytes upon gigabytes in a short time they WILL throttle your bandwidth. |

Thanks. I think they said something about that. Maybe an unwritten rule of 5GB per day. Not sure I remember but they all seem to say something else.So far 11GB in a few days and no problems here. |

| I am thinking of doing this as well.It will save me money by not having to get a separate internet connection. My question is,Is 3g tethering slower than ordinary internet in South korea?I want to know if I can still watch streaming movies from my laptop just as fast as if I had a ordinary connection to the internet? |

Streaming movies won't be too good. This isn't a replacement for home internet; it's a holdover for a week while you get the real thing installed.
My opinion, anyways. |

All 3 major providers are reliable. It's a small country with a lot of people, service is everywhere.
Internet service depends on the area you live. Ask around, see what people have and how much they like it. If you plan to mostly visit foreign sites, only ask other people who do that. I would again only stick to the 3 major carriers (SK, KT, LG); I've heard awful things about the discount ones. |

| I have olleh for all my stuff. Cell phone + internet comes to 100k/month, and I think that's a pretty good deal. You can probably do better even if you want cable and home phone (i have neither). |
