I'm waiting on a background check (I sent in for it June 24th). I've since moved back with my parents, and I'm having my mail forwarded. I sent the FBI a self-addressed stamped envelope. They don't stamp background checks with "do not forward" or anything, do they? I don't want to go through the trouble of contacting them and having them change the address that they send the check to, so I'm hoping they'll just put it in the envelope I sent them and it will get forwarded to me. |

You're probably "bleep" out of luck! The DOS is so backed up. It's lost forever. Start on a new one or look for a job at home. |

Hmmm...I hope you're kidding. I can't start a new one now, my job starts late August. Aah well, I told the recruiter that I probably couldn't be ready until Sept. and he knew when I sent in for the check, so he can't be shocked when I'm not ready in time.
I'm wondering if calling a congressman really does help speed it up at all. This is really my own fault for procrastinating. But I don't think it's lost forever. I just probably won't be getting it until the day I'm supposed to have arrived in Korea. |
