Hi all,
I have received a job offer from Namsa Middle school in Namsa-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. Judging from Google maps, it looks very small and possibly not well serviced by public transport.
Does any one here work in, or know about this area (or even the school)?
Is it as tiny as it looks, or will I be able to find all the things a person might want for day to day life (gym, groceries, a little night life, food, etc.)?
I'm waiting to hear from their current teacher now, but any input from you guys is really appreciated. |

Just wait to hear from their current teacher.
It sounds like you're already uneasy about it, so maybe try to find somewhere else in a bigger city like Daegu, Seoul or Busan.

Hello, I am a korean living in Suwon and Yongin is right next to it. But the part of youngin where Namsa is located is way downsouth. It is more close to Osan or Pyeongtaek.. abou 2 hours or longer to Seoul. And you were dead-on about how secluded the place is.. Even the school looks quite small.

the link above is the official webpage of the school.
But, livint in city or teaching at a big school does not always bring satisfaction or content to you...so.. I guess it is up to you. :) |
