Hello, I am a Korean male living and working in Suwon. I am here to look for volunteers willing to help out the homeless at Suwon Station periodically.

Recently, the Seoul metropolitan city has decided to drive the homeless at Seoul Station away because of many despicable reasons. And it is anticipated that some of those homeless people will move down to Suwon area and thus they need help from the locals more than ever before.

I personally have been involved in helping the homeless at Seoul Station with many a foreinger and am considering branching it out to Suwon. The duties that you will shoulder as a volunteer would be the following;
1) A small amount of monetary donation( a bit of your beer money) and only a couple of hours of your time will be required
2) Bring your mercy, sympathy and your big heart to share with those in need
* Also, you are NOT mandated to come everyweek. You come when you can :)

Every week we will gather, go to the mart to purchase giveaway food(milk, chocolate, bananas and bread) for the homeless, bag it up and disseminate it to them all together. Although I am organizing this, there is already a Korean organization that has been helping the homeless for a while. I am also thinking about cooperating with them and expanding the activitiy gradually e.g. soup kitchen, local-wide donation and charity.

I am not asking you to show up immediately. Sometimes you are lazy.. you have social life and friends to hang out with on the weekend. That's fine.

But at least if you were one of those sincere and genuine people believing that we can make the world a better place than it is now, contact me.
Also, if you wondered there were better things to do other than going to Itaewon or Hongdae every weekend, come join us!

Any inquries or suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks for reading this and if you would like to contact me, PM me or reach me at [email protected]

Isn't there a soup kitchen that operates by Suwon Station? I used to live in the area and I remember every now and then homeless people would be lined up for a meal. Maybe you could work with them? I think it was some church running it, but I'm not sure.

Hey, there. Thank for the reply. I think the soup kitchen is opreated by this Korean organization. and they dole out food once a day. But my apporach is a tad different from theirs since I would like to get foreigners in the area invovled. But thanks for the info, maybe I can co-op with them and expand!
