Hi guys,
I am wanting to change to either another location in Korea or go
to Taiwan. I want to know whether I will need another criminal background check as I have been in Korea the whole time since my last one and have not left at all on a holiday etc. Any help would be great! |

If your last one was a CPIC (national) check AND it had K-consulate certification then you can transfer to a new position without a new CBC.
If your last CBC did NOT have consular certification then you may need a new one for a transfer but probably not for an extension.
IF you are going to Taiwan to obtain a work permit to teach in Taiwan, you must:
i) be a college or university graduate ― diplomas need to be authenticated by the Taipei Economical and Cultural Office (TECO) in Canada;
ii) possess teaching qualifications, such as a university degree or college diploma ― all transcripts should be provided;
iii) be at least 20 years of age or older;
iv) be a native speaker of the language you will teach;
v) receive a health check ― requirements to be confirmed by employer; and
vi)undergo an RCMP criminal record check ― authenticated by TECO.
