I'm most definetly not a coffee connoisseur, but I've been going to a new TomnToms Cafe that opened up near my house, mainly because its nice and big and bright inside.

I always order an Americano, but the coffee at this place doesn't seem to do anything for me. A grande Americano at Starbucks will wake me right up, but this stuff I can't even feel it.

Anyone else experience this at TnT?

There's a Korean phrase that means "strong". I'm not positive, but I think it's "jin ha go". Say this and they'll usually put an extra shot into your drink (or they might just use extra coffee grounds to make your shot).

You're welcome Smile

I do say it, but it's still weak.

Well, then my only advice would be to 1) go to another coffeehouse, or 2) ask them to use less water.

Unfortunately, Koreans tend to like their coffee "mild" (aka, like sweet brown water).

If you go there on a regular basis you may want to get the Tom N' Tom's 50,000 won gift card for 39,000 won at Costco.

Does the card ever expire? I don't go often, but it'd be worth buying if I don't have to worry about an expiration date.

That's why I always order with an extra shot. 샷추가 Shot-chu-ga. Add the ever important -yo and they'll give you the extra shot. Some places charge an extra 500 won, others don't.

When you order say your typical order, and when they give you that look of amazement that you just ordered coffee in Korean, wow them some more excitement for their day by saying "shot-chu-ga-yo." If they pause for a second, they might be telling you it comes with an extra shot already. Even so, repeat "shot-chu-ga-yo."

No expiration date that I see on the card.
