The rhetoric of a generation.
Carlin did a good bit about the rhetoric of the baby boomers and the succeeding Gen Xers (from "peace, love and understanding" to "no pain, no gain" sort of thing). Too bad he wasn't around long enough to comment on the stuff the millennial are being fed. It's no surprise they are how they are from this point of view. |
