I was recently traveling in Thailand with my iphone, I had my data roaming turned off but just noticed the pictures I took have location tags on them. anybody know how (if) that counts as data roaming?
if so I'm in for a huge bill |

I can only comment on your question from a theoretical viewpoint without any actual experience. But, your location can be tracked by GPS anywhere in the world without sending any data. GPS does not require your phone to send any signals at all, it only calculate your position based on signals it receives from the GPS satellites. |
