I'm curious if people are experiencing problems with LG U+ this past week? I have since Saturday and received a message from the company that they were trying to fix things. However since then I have had problems connecting when making/receiving calls and with text messages as well. I was in the store today and they told me the problems were with the 3g network and shouldn't have affected the calling/texting. They also told me my phone was old and I should buy a new one. Is this a ploy by them to get me to spend more money or is the phone going kaput? Because of this I wanted to see if others were experiencing problems as of late.
Thanks. |

The entire cellular network of Korea is having issues. There was an article in the paper about it this last week.
The explosion in smart phone usage has caused the entire network to slow down. The argument about 3G/4G,voice/data is moot because everything has to go through the cellular sites. Since the data portion is collapsing, it's dragging everything else down with it.
On top of that, I believe LG SPECIFICALLY had a network crash. Another article about that in the Joongang Ilbo. They had some serious trouble, but got most of it fixed within a few days.
Personally, I got a text message from my friend about 1 week after he sent it, and I'm using a standard cell phone - not a smart phone.
Anyway, if you're really curious, search the joongang ilbo website for the specifics. There were two or three articles regarding this stuff in the last week or so. |
