I've been treating a wart for about 3 weeks with ACV. It finally turned black after about a week and got pretty flat, but never fell off. Today, I noticed it was gray and the area around it looked pretty red...is this normal? Could it be infected, or is this a normal part of the process?

As interesting as this is, I think doing a google search would be better than posting on an English teachers in Korea forum~~~ but it doesn't sound so good.

why didn't you just treat it at the hospital? would have been a fraction of the us price in a korean hospital.

home remedies? are foreigners here really this stingy? you get what you pay for. lesson learned.

The doctor studied and practiced in the U.S. for (I think he said) 16 years. His English-e is amazing, and he knows what he's talking about.

I had a couple of warts removed a couple of months ago. He uses a laser, and there's no scarring. I think that it was 30,000 a wart and 10,000 for consultation.

Yeah. I already googled the hell out of it and was just looking for people with experience to throw in their two cents. Hating going to the doctos and preferring alternative methods does not equal stingy.

Home remedies are the best, usually natural, and almost always cheaper. That being said I think maybe it would be best to stop treatment with the vinegar and let the wart or what is left of it heal. Then maybe try it again. On a side note: Can you find apple cider vinegar ( the kind with the mother) in South Korea? It is an essential for me as far as skin and hair care and was dreading bringing it with me when I come in October. Thanks!

I don't know about wart removal, but I have a couple very heavy leather jackets. They got bad cases of mold on them. I got 2x strength apple vinegar and spritzed them down and rinsed w/hot water afterwards. It killed the mold and the spores. Haven't had any problem with mold on them since.

Well I guess that I will just have to bring it with me, which is fine, I will probably end up ordering it online anyways. Thanks for the tip on the website.

As for my hair, once a week I use it as a rinse after my conditioner in the shower.You have to mix 1 part ACV to 2 parts water, some add a few drops of essential oils to combat the smell, but I don't mind the smell at all. You have to let it sit on at least 3 minutes, and don't even necessarily have to rinse it (unless the smell bothers you, but you can usually still smell it afterwards anyway). It removes all buildup on my scalp and makes my hair feel sooo clean, it also makes it really shiny.

In January of this year I got this skin condition called perioral dermatitis, (you should google it, I looked like a freak!) The only thing most people were saying that worked was to take antibiotics for three months and it might clear up. I was not about to take antibiotics for that long. So, I finally found a site that recommended ACV and coconut oil. I had tried everything else and to no avail, but this worked, it worked so well!!! After applying it the ACV and coconut oil topically and taking he ACV internally my face was clear in about a week and a half.

Now my skin is back to its old healthy self. I often use it as toner diluted 50/50 and on pimples to help them hear faster.(I'm not sure if this work super well for the pimples, but it seems to help). I also suffer from canker sores and although I haven't tried it yet, applying ACV to the sore is recommended help it heal.

Btw coconut oil is amazing, I've been using it as face cream and on my hands and my skin is so very soft. I recently read that coconut works as a natural sun block and protects against wrinkles. And to top it off it taste great and is a very healthy oil to use in cooking.

So I hope these ideas can be useful to you. Sorry it took me so long to repost, I'm kind of new to forums in general and am super busy outside of the internet world. How is your wart treatment working?
