These two songs have been floating about in my head for years but I can't pin them down.

The first one the refrain lyrics go:

"can you remember, when we were young, we just had fun"

Followed by a vigorous electric acoustic in a singular 7th chord.

It came out about the early to mid nineties, female vocalist, a hit.

Sorry my clues are so sparse.

The 2nd one my memory is even more hazy. It came out in the late eighties, I think. It's refrain goes "sexy body" in a more or less platonic meaning, although the female singer's voice is sultry.

Then the twittering of birds, clearly from an aviary with its distinctive sound.

Much obliged to anyone who can help. I have periodically tried to google, but my lyric clues give it indigestion every time.

No, it's a more flowing song than that one of Sasha, is it?

Sasha should be shot with a ball of her own s.

Is the first one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3j_fdSpkmE ?

or maybe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S8ZrQG0y6g ?

Those are the only songs I can think of that have lyrics sort of similar to those.

Thanks for the efforts, guys, but no breakthrough yet.

At least I've whittled my 'unfinished business' down to these two. The last one that I hunted down successfully was 'New Slang' by The Shins.

A song like that (New Slang) is a fine example of a song that is tantalisingly near but so far away. Just try and sing it unaccompanied to someone who is trying to help.

I find it disturbing when this happens, an abiding sense of loss. The attraction of the missing song grows exponentially.

It's also an incredibly poorly recorded and mixed song.
