I'm trying to get a job in Korea (it's non-teaching), and I wanted to ask about the background check that's required.

I have an interview with the company next month, and depending on how I do on the interview i will have the opportunity to work in Korea. My only concern is that I will need to compile the necessary visa-related documents in order to recieve a work visa.

If I am given the job can I request the American embassy in Seoul to expediate my background check? Is this possible?

My advice would be to find out what you will need and apply as early as possible.
