I will get straight to the point.

I have lived in Korea for 10 years on an E-2 visa.

Every year, I have submitted all necessary documents to immigration to obtain a new E-2 visa.

In February, 2011 (8 months ago) I submitted a

Korean police check
(my home country) apostilled Federal police check
(my home country) apostilled University degree
a medical certificate from Korean (approved) hospital
etc
etc

I am currently employed in a Public elementary school in Gyeonggi-do

I am planning on either signing up with another school in Gyeonggi-do in February 2012, or switching to S.M.O.E.

according to many recruiting sites and S.M.O.E I have to submit all the above documents AGAIN (new)

Is this really true, do they really require me to get all new ones again and submit them again if I wish to take their positions, or has the law really changed and is there a way around it?

don't tell me to phone immigration, S.M.O.E. thinks they are higher than immigration...

Immigration has way more power than SMOE.
If they do not issue a visa to an NSET, they cannot work at SMOE.

I don't know what recruiting websites you are refering to, so I can't check them as your references, but I did look up the SMOE website.

Is this what you are referencing?
This is talking about those who didn't give one to immigration before.
If you can get a certified copy from the immigration office you turned it into, you shouldn't be required to get a new CRC and submit to SMOE.
If you are from the USA and you had a state apostille attached to it, I know that SMOE will not take it.
If you did that, its both your fault for not getting it done properly and immigration's fault for accepting it.
You asked that we not ask you to call immigration, so call SMOE and find out. 02-3999-464.

If you are signing at another school within 3 months of your previous E2 expiry/cancellation, and you have not left the country, then you do not need to re-submit new documents. At least according to immigration.

Unfortunately some education boards make up their own rules in addition to the immi ones. You could try talking sense into them but...good luck with that.

Thank you, that what i wanted to hear.

According to Immigration I don't have to re-submit new documents,

It's ONLY SMOE who has made up their own mind and wants it.
