|
|
| On my utility bill, I have had a 2500 Won charge that says "TV" on it. I figured that was my cable bill. Then I get see a 33000 deduction on my paycheck that id for internet. I look at my internet bill and see that it is 33000 - 15500 for internet and 14500 for cable, with a 3000 surcharge of some kind. I ask a Korean coworker and he tells me that the 2500 utility charge is a charge everyone pays just for owning a television. Seriously? I don't doubt him, but is there a reason for having that charge? |

| yup, it is a surcharge that everyone pays on each tv they own... same as in Japan and the UK. Actually, it is for the "free" government run channels like KBS etc... |
