I have been teaching in Korea for three years now. Prior to teaching in Korea, I worked in finance for over five years, occasionally teaching seminars on financial planning.
I figure that my background in finance, including experience instructing adults, would be desirable for Business English. With the job market being slow right now, I think it is even more important that I take advantage of my prior work experience.
The problem that I am finding is that Business English is not heavily advertised on the common job boards. I would appreciate some suggestions of places to apply outside of the standard adult hagwons like Pagoda, BCM, and Mavens.
Either a response here or a PM would be greatly appreciated. |

Get a hagwon job which has adults. I think it is a gamble to get an adult only position. So, in your case, I would take a hagwon job that does both adults and kids. Make sure that they already have some adult classes. Then, hope for the best. Maybe more adults will come and specifically want you to teach business classes. If successful, you could migrate to more adult business classes and then they would hire a new teacher to take over the kids classes.
I am assuming Seoul (Gangnam and areas like that) would be the best places to start. They are more likely to get business oriented people. |

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know of any specific schools to contact? |
