Hello All...
Just a quick bit of advice: If you have glasses or contacts and have always wondered about laser eye surgery, I highly suggest going to The Dream Eye Center in Meyeongdong. The people their are incredibly nice and they all speak English very well.
I know many of you are nervous about getting the procedure done, but I promise you it will be worth your while. Before the surgery, you must wear glasses for about 2 weeks. When I got to the clinic I was a bit nervous. However, the staff and surgeons at the clinic were extremely positive and they help you step by step through the process. Before the procedure, they tell you exactly what is going to happen during and after each step and they put me at ease right away.
During the surgery, they talk you each step and they are very encouraging. There are many different aides and nurses in the room and they did an awesome job of keeping me as worry free as possible. As for the surgery itself, you will be amazed to know that it takes a ridiculously short amount of time and it is completely pain free. You don't feel a thing.
I would highly recommend it to any foreigner living in Korea who has ever considered getting the surgery back home. The Dream Eye Center gives a 10% discount to foreigners and the price is literally 65% cheaper than many of the places in the U.S. (I researched this beforehand) They even offer a lifetime guarantee, (in case your eyes deteriorate in the future).
Take it from me, I am an incredibly satisfied customer. Life without contacts or glasses is extremely convenient and I am glad I will never have to pay for an optometrist, or glasses, or contacts ever again.
I hope this is encouraging for everyone out there who has ever considered laser surgery.

This is a nice story but I've always been too afraid to get such a procedure done. I'd rather keep my eyes as they are instead of taking such a risk. |

If that's true, the clinic in question jeopardized their reputation for a bit of word-of-mouth advertising. The potential benefit doesn't seem worth the very bad potential drawback. |
