Hiya folks,

Having recently discovered the new galaxy 10.1 is only available via mobile outlets for an insane price mark up

748,000w for the 16 gb wifi only
941,000w for the 32 gb wifi only

I have a few questions for the more tech savy here.

What are good places to shop for tablets in Seoul?

Is gmarket the best bet, or are there any stores where you can go and browse in person?

Would it be possible to purchase a galaxy 10.1 from Amazon.com and then ship it here, thus avoiding the nasty price here, is that legal?

What android tablet would you recommend? (other than Ipad/Ipad2), my ideal is a long battery life and reasonably light.

you can have amazon ship you one but it'll get hit with import taxes at customs.

i'd suggest having a friend or family member receive it first, take it out of the box, slap some film or a big sticker on the back to give it that "used" feel, drain the battery entirely, and then mail it to you without the box declaring it broken and with a value of under 125usd.

or just make it easy on yourself and pony up the extra cash especially if you are getting one that is 3g or LTE capable, because many of the electronics samsung makes and sells in the korean market is slightly different and often has a few more features than its american counterparts.

I got mine through my wife's coworker's husband who works for Samsung. Maybe that's why I got it so cheap. There's no way it should cost that much.
