does anyone have a good recommendation for a hotel in phuket?
i have a few things i'm looking for and they are:
- beachside
- close enough to patong to walk to quickly (i actually don't want something tucked away and secluded)
- maybe some good nite life around the hotel
- four or five star
- somewhere that i can rent a motorcycle or scooter
any recommendations would be great. thanks! |

I have stayed at the Sunset on N.Patong beach. It was OK (not 5* even though the peak season prices would suggest it).
It is about a 5 minute drive to the main road (nightlife).

If you want more upscale, the novotel might be more to your liking. It is about a 5-10 minute drunken stagger to the main party road.

thanks tt
i'm going off-season and i did see the novotel in my searches. the amount of 4 and 5 stars on the major hotel websites and sites like expedia and agoda are staggering and it's becoming a bit daunting to find one with all the qualities i seek. |
