I am still confused. Sorry. I have a laptop with a two part power cord, the brick part says 100-240v. Everyone says that should be fine with just a wall adaptor.

however, the cord that runs from the brick to the wall says 7a 125v. I figure that cord will get fried, right? So I need to replace it with one that is at least 220v.

Is that correct? does anyone have a similar/the exact same situation? I appreciate the help.
