Hello

I've always wanted to go bungee jumping. Yesterday I was told by one place that I was over their weight limit. I'm a big guy, 195cm (a little over 6'4) and 118kg's (About 260 pounds) . The place I was at had a weight restriction of 110 kg's. I'm told that some places will accommodate up to 125 kg's though.

Can anyone recommend a place that might let me jump?

Go to America, where the average person isn't 40kg.

Seriously, I wouldn't want to do anything "life-threatening" in Asia.

Haha, fair enough! I was expecting that, I was also expecting someone to tell me to go on a diet. Thats not really the kind of input i'm looking for. I've heard there are bungee places where 2 can jump at the same time? Surely they must have higher weight restrictions.

P.S. I am going to make a solid effort to lose 10kg's. I'm gonna try my hardest to do it. 3 months! starting..... tomorrow Very Happy Very Happy (FML) lol

I heard about someone, can't remember now, they had a zip line accident over here. Not fatal but they were laid up for a couple months. Students wanted me to go on one and there was no way I was even going to tempt fate like that.

I remember that guy too, but that was in China I believe. He had gone on vacation there and got messed up there, and then the national insurance wasn't too keen on paying for it.

I live within sight of the bungee platform at Yuldong Park in Bundang. I've seen plenty of folks go over the edge of that and be alright. A few friends did it and said it was well run. Granted, I'd be leery of anything like bungee jumping/sky diving/etc no matter where I was, but Asia specifically - the value on safety here isn't necessarily more or less, but just... different.

You can jump at Cheongpyeong River Land in Gapyeong-gun, but you'll pay twice as much for being over 110kg. They do couples' jump there, too.
