|
hi all,
if any of the forum experts could please advise...
is the severance and pension held safely with the government (and i can get these monies owed from the government easily)or does the hagwon have control of paying these 2 out?
ive been offered a 3rd year contract renewal, but the school has lost students..... so im wanting to know if my severance and pension willl be safe should anything happen to the hagwon over the next 12 months...
thanks for any answers

Pension should be paid to the pension office. You have worked 2 years and haven't checked with the pension office yet?
Severance is between you and your employer. Therefore, NO GUARANTEES. |

You can call the pension office and give them your ARC number. They can tell you how much money you have in your account. |

If there is an English speaker or you know Korean. In my case, I went in person and no one could speak English except another foreigner there. I just handed my paperwork over to them and that communicated all that was needed. |
