I'm leaving a public school at the end of my contract and starting a new job. I have the documents from my new job to take to immigration to turn in for the visa transfer.

My co teacher keeps saying she needs to call immigration to cancel my visa since my contract is ending. I keep telling her that she doesn't need to do a thing.

My question is - when my contract is over, does my current school need to do anything with immigration?

Can my current employer eff something up if she calls immigration or should I not worry about this? She's not trying to screw me or anything, she's just new and "following the manual." Thoughts?

She can't cancel it by phone.
She doesn't need to do anything (it will expire on its own if you don't do a transfer and if you do transfer then they are no longer your sponsor).
