How soon would be too soon for preparing my visa documents? I'm currently on a non-E2 visa here but am planning to apply to uni jobs for the spring, and I'm wondering if it's possible for me to actually process my documents too early in this situation since I've heard that transcripts cannot be more than 6 months old, etc. Is that rule still in place? And are there any other restrictions I should know about in regard to how old a background check can be, etc.? |

No such thing as too soon. First semester starts in 6 months, university hiring starts in November. Start now, make sure you have everything ready by the beginning of Nov. |

Thanks, I just wasn't sure if there were even shorter time limits on the other documents, such as the background check. Also, just to check, does the six-month time limit still exist for transcripts? I still have university transcripts from earlier this year and would prefer not to reorder if I don't have to. |
