I finally got a wireless router and set it up last week. However, whenever I turn off the computer and later turn it back on, the wifi doesn't work. I know it is working because myiPphone is picking it up. My computer seems to recognize the router, but tells me there's no internet access.
I'm about "average" when it comes to tech-savvyness, but I'm at a loss. I basically just click around in the wireless settings until it works. Kind of a waste of time and a bit frustrating when I'd like to be able to turn on my computer and get online right away.
I have an HP G62 laptop running Windows 7 (service pack 1).
Any suggestions? (in non-techie language...). |

Set it to auto connect rather than just detect.

Make sure all of the software is up to date. HP has an internal program for updating these things. Usually they apply bug fixes every few months for problems like this, if they occur. |
