Hello hivemind.

I'm leaving my current hagwon position. I've given them 30 days' notice, told them I'm willing to pay back my airfare (I'm leaving pretty early on in this contract) and stay until they find a replacement, even if it means an extra or day or two. I am willing to do everything by the book so as to make this departure as smooth and amicable as possible, so I can get a Letter of Release.

Assuming I get a Letter of Release, am I correct in thinking that I will not need to go through the *entire* E2 visa rigmarole again?

With a LOR a simple tranfer may be do-able (depending on how long you have been at your current employment).

Typically, immigration wants you to have completed 6 months before they allow a transfer but it is not written in stone.
