|
|
| I got my phone two years ago around Ori Station, and the company has been drafting the payments out of my bank account until now. I'm leaving the country next Tues(!) but I have no idea how to pay my final bill, other than possibly leaving the approximate amount of money due in my bank, but then I wouldn't be able to close out my bank account properly...How can I settle this? I now live very far from my first job, and really don't want to go to Bundang. It's a Sky/Oz phone, and I don't get the statements in the mail anymore. Thanks! |

If it's Oz, then it must be with LG U+ network. There may be numerous phoneshops with LG logo up front, but they're mere retailers. (as in LG being the wholesaler) It also means not that many shops on the street handle administrative works such as cancellation or change of schemes, etc.
If you're currently around Nowon area, there is one dealer-retailer who is also authorized for cancellation service (according to LG U+) right off of exit 9 of Nowon Station.
And then there's another branch shop which is under direct management of LG U+ unlike the former, which is midway between Eul-ji Elementary and Bul-Am Elementary Schools, if you get the idea where they are.
Try those places first. |

Just go to an SK place (or where the company is). Tell them you want to cancel, I don't remember what I said because I don't speak Korean well, but they understand. I think told them, "Tomorrow I go to China". They wanted cash in order to close it, they would not accept the idea I might leave money in the bank.
If you have any plans to return to Korea, it is wise to keep the accounts alive. I needed some money when I got my visa for China. |

| Thanks everyone! I found out from my bank statement that it was an LG account, and closed it out at a store in Jongno 2-ga. It was super easy and they let me keep the phone. Best, Marina |
