Hi,
I am trying to sort out the necessary paperwork for an E2 Visa and have hit a wall.
I'm from the UK if this matters and graduated this July. However the university is refusing to send me my actual diploma until December.
I can obtain the transcripts no problem and they say they can send me a letter from the university stating I have graduated and also send an official break down of course units passed (I think I have this one already), but they will not send the actual diploma.
Does this mean I am stuck here until December or is there a way for me to obtain a Visa with just the transcripts, records check and a letter from the Uni (with maybe some sort of agreement to hand over a diploma copy as soon as I get it.)
thanks |

You're stuck till December.
See you after Christmas.
You can apply, get a job do everything else but you CANNOT get a visa confirmation number (hence no visa) until immigration has an apostilled, certified true (notarized) copy of your degree on their desk.

I had a similar problem with a university in the US. I ordered a replacement diploma which arrived in 3weeks rather than the 3 months that it would have taken for the uni to send me a diploma. It cost me around $30 for the replacement but I eventually ended up with two copies. |
