He wants to know what program he needs to download onto his computer to interface with his LG Android phone so that he can upgrade to run Skype with video chat. |

Harp,
You don't need anything other that the latest Skype app on your phone, and a phone that supports the app and runs at least Gingerbread , but the app itself is unreliable at best.
It's pretty hit and miss |

If I was at my computer and wanted to run Skype video chat, I'd download Skype. |

A few things:
The Galaxy S1, made by Samsung, uses a client program called Kies to interface between the computer and phone via USB (for upgrades, etc.). As another example, the I-phone uses I-Tunes to do this.
What Harpeau wants to know is what the client program is for LG phones (it's an LG phone, right?) running Android use to do the same thing. He has Skype on his LG phone, but because it is not updated to Gingerbread yet, he can't do it. He wants to update his LG phone to Gingerbread. Does anyone know what program LG phones use for upgrades?
I have the Galaxy S1, and after the update to Gingerbread (I had to go to the service center to make the phone) I can now Skype with both front and back cameras. By the way, if you gave a Galaxy S1, and haven't downloaded Kies to upgrade to Gingerbread, you are missing-out. It's smoother, makes apps like Facebook run better, and the Skype front/back video camera thing alone makes it worthwhile. |

By the way, he messaged me that he has the LG Optimus LG-LU3000. Otherwise known as the Optimus Mach. I searched online but couldn't find information on what program LG uses to update this phone. Anyone know? |
