Just picked up Resistance 3 and apparently from now on you need to enter in some code to play online or pay 10 bucks if you buy it used. Problem is, I think there is some disconnect between having a US PSN account and buying a game that requires a code in Korea. Anyone know a work around? |

i had the exact same problem.
workaround: i created a pseudo account, inputting "hong kong" as my location. easy enough to fill in the rest of the fields (you can put in ANY street name, etc..)
login with your new hong kong UA, download the code, logout, log in with your preferred account, et voila! works a charm.
edit: did you get korea version/US version/ or NTSC/J asia version? it worked for me with NTSC/J from play-asia |

^I'm gonna try that. Can't make a Korean account.
I've had the same problem with every EA game I've bought here, and I've heard if you call the service center they will fix it for you, but it's kind of a pain in the ass. |

The Hong Kong account works for generic Asian region games, but NOT specific Korean region ones. I've got a lot of DLC I can't use.
Unfortunately, one needs a Korean citizenship number to make a Korean account, Korean accounts do NOT have an English language option, and Alien Registration Numbers don't work. Plus, at least from the website, new accounts can't even be created. |
