I've had two CT's and one MRI in Korea (pneumonia and 3 surgeries so far) The first time I didn't have insurance, it was roughly 300,000 if my memory serves me right. With insurance, too be honest, I can't remember. I want to say 200,000 though, at Hongik University. Didn't keep my receipts, sorry dude |

We get a free medical check done every two years, paid-for by our school. We get a scan of an area of choice as a part of that. I can choose my brain, heart area, or gut/pelvic area, I believe.
As a part of this, you can also pay to have additional things done, including CT scans of other areas. Off the top of my head, I think the cost was like an additional 150,000 or 200,000? I can't remember. There was a price list for everything.
We used to use KMI (Korea Medical Institute) to do our physicals. They were extensive, and cost something like 550,000 for about 3 1/2 hours of checks, I think. Our school covered the costs, though.
When you got the intensive physical done, they gave you clothes to change into, and you went through a series of tests, waiting between each one, all done on 2 floors. You're basically sitting around waiting your turn to be tested for whatever in each little room. Very organized. Very clean, high-tech, and professional. They had an English speaker available to help as soon as I walked in. After it was all done, I received results in an organized folder with Korean comments (3 weeks later), and some limited English comments overall. Oh, and the doctor I met with after most of the tests were done looked over my results initially and made note of any important discoveries.
I should note that we switched from KMI to a new place this year. I haven't been to the new place. I always liked KMI, but I saw a news report that they got caught doing something wrong by the gov't at at least one of their locations (not sure where). Basically, they were allowing their ultrasound techs to write-up reports (or something of that nature) when it was supposed to be done by an actual doctor. That was what my wife said, if memory serves, anyway.
Maybe that's why my school switched? I was otherwise always very happy with their service. I always went to Gwanghwamun.
KMI has several locations, and I believe you can get individual things done at your discretion. Have a Korean call to help you:
Gwanghwamun station area: 02-739-2333
Yeoido: 02-368-8114
Kangnam: 02-539-1999
Suwon: 031-229-0011
Daegu: 053-472-4500
Busan: 051-668-7780
Kwangju: 062-269-2100
On a last note, my coworker's wife, who was feeling fine, paid to have it done along with him (she might have gotten a slight discount for that) and during the tests, they found CANCER! And it was reaching a very serious stage. She had surgery done shortly thereafter, and recovered fully so far. If she hadn't gotten that test done, as her husband put it, they would have been living in a fool's paradise for about 6 more months before bad things started to be noticed.

Keep in mind that CT scans CAUSE cancer, so they're not to be done for no reason. |

The CT is the cheap one. Others have already quoted you on that. The MRI costs about 2,000,000 so you should talk to your insurance company first, you can't just jump up and volunteer for an MRI without seriously thinking about it. |

Yonsei Severence, about 175K, with the appropriate doctor's write up (have been having pain that they cannot pin down for a while, doc made sure she wrote it up for maximum coverage, I think). |

Ulsan university hospital was about 160,000 for CT scan.
But my co-pay for that was only about 50,000. |
