|
|
Getting ready to apply for a winter camp job and trying to get the LATEST info on the apostille process (waiting for my FBI CBC at present). Someone said that Korean immigration will accept an affidavit from the US Embassy in Seoul, in lieu of an apostille from the US. Is this true? (no hearsay, please)
In the event that Korean immigration will not accept such an affidavit from the US Embassy in Seoul, then I will have to get my CBC apostilled, I suppose. "Express Authentication" seems to be the cheapest expediter in the Washington, DC area. Anyone used them?
Is it true that Korean immigration will accept an apostille of the FBI CBC from a US state secretary of state? If so, which state is fastest/cheapest?
By the way, I have read through most of the threads, but I want the very latest info, as my time is running out.............
Thanks! |

I would have thought someone would have had (and would have posted) some info. Maybe I will just send the FBI CBC to Express Authentication or US Legalization and hope for the best............ |

I did that twice before (in 2008 and 2009), but that was regarding local background checks from my hometown city, not even state. I am pretty sure you can't now. It probably has to come straight from the FBI to Secretary of State, and then when it is all done sent to Korea.
The best place to ask is not here (rules change too often, and we are only symptoms of past red tape). Ask recruiters. If they are good, then they will know because that's how they get paid (to secure jobs for teachers). |
