ive always wanted to go to a korean soccer match, so im interested in this.
however:
- can we bring friends that aren't korean for 10k as well?
- is it going to look like mudfest or itaewon at night there? ie. nothing but drunken weigooks acting like idiots and pissing off the koreans and anyone there trying to enjoy the game for 90 minutes?
if no to both, i'll gladly pay double and take my beautiful kgirl to the next game. |

| Looks like a good time. I'll probably go. I do hope that the foreigners don't act too crazy. Shame that I have to feel embarrassed for the actions of others. |

Lol. Their marketing director sent me a request to help promote it. I told him in no less than 5 words to eff off since this was started by me at Suwon 4 years ago and he's jacking our idea. He claimed 8,000 foreigners came out last year when I'm sure there were no more than 200 max.
Boycott North Immoral and visit Suwon World Cup stadium!!! |

I've been to a couple of World Cup matches there and I did go to the last one with a Korean friends. Just buy tickets and no one there seems to care who is from where.
The stadium concessions are sparse- just some beer, with cans and bottles of soda and powerade. It is nice outside of the stadium with a large park, and there's lots of things around the stadium like: Pizza Hut, Homeplus, and a large Korean food court in the back after you walk through Homeplus. They get crowded on game days. |

| I was planning to go, but there is a lot going on that weekend. Oktoberfest near Itaewon and the Seoul Drum Festival (which was awesome last year) in Seoul Plaza. |

went last year/earlier this year to it (maybe against gwangju?)
there was confusion at first because the adverts said tickets were for the north stand, which is where i usually sit. when we got there, we were all sent to the east stand and couldn't move around anywhere.
was kinda annoying because the atmosphere was pretty shoddy. i think most people went along for the beer/hotdog and to see what soccer is all about. place was packed full of foreigners, i wouldn't be surprised if there were 8000 there.
as sojusucks said - nobody seems to care who gives them money. i was with koreans and foreigners.
-most of the people i was with didn't give two hoots about the match and spent most of the time not paying attention. that kinda sucked.
-however, didn't see anyone causing trouble or too drunk.
if i was doing it this time, i'd try to buy a ticket for the north stand and sit with the fans there. it's around 10,000 a ticket and 3000 a beer so you're not really missing out, plus the atmosphere is much better |

tickets for the expat deal or regular tickets?
there are quite a few bars/restaurants who sell them for the expat deal. i got mine from choi's tacos last time on gameday.
as for the regular tickets, you simply walk up to the stadium, select your area and pay.
the lower area behind the north goal is where the atmosphere is best. drums, megaphones, flares etc. gets quite busy though |

Baseball draws big crowds. The World Cup qualifiers draw crowds but the Korean soccer league has had problems. They just had a match-fixing scandal. |
