Has anyone installed that Hangul word processor on an English Windows computer? Did it work, or does it have to be installed on a Korean OS computer?

I think this was done before a long time ago. YOU might want to do a seach. I wouldn't bother the search feature is a waste of time.

I've used Hangul once or twice and it sucked. Why do you want to use it?

I help with the student newspaper at the school, and they sometimes give me stuff to edit in this format.

Also, I have a big-screen HDTV wired to a Pentium 4 in my classroom. I like to use Powerpoint and the Hangul '97 program to show vocabulary and other stuff (I add hangul to some of the words sometimes).

Would be easier to prep this stuff at home.

As a side note, I love how you can put your cursor on an English word, then hit F12 and a Korean Dictionary definition pops up.

I am running XP pro and I have hangul 2002 running on my computer.

However, I had to force it to work as there is one file that is not compatible with the English OS. It's the hncbl10.kor.

Unfortunately I can't remember exactly how I got it to work, because it was a fluke of copying and pasting and moving files around .

But....Hangul 97 should have no problems running, and apparently according to the above post, 2004 runs as well.

I would hate to see you go out and spend any money on a program that you can't run in the end.

97 will work. If you have a friend with a newer version, borrow it and try it out.
