|
|
In an effort to obtain a letter or release I need to go to the korean labor board to see if they can help me at all. I am being shafted out of a lot of money, the school has broken the contract many times over. The school is trying to force me out of the country. There are several things that the school is doing illegally. In an effort to secure a letter of release I am trying to build as big a case as I can against them.
Can anyone tell me where the Bundang district labor board is, a phone number or website address? Will I need a translator? Is the Labor Board my best option?
I have been to immigration and I attempted to inform them of these illegal practices- (not paying taxes, no pension, no severance, with holding passports, immediate firings, with-holding pay, late pay, 3 illegal workers, no one on contracts, but they said that it was not their concern.....) I have written to many lawyers/ been in contact with many lawyers but I have not had any replies...
I am not sure what to do. What avenues are left open to me?
All I want is a letter of release so I can start at a new school...I would also like the school investigated...they have totally screwed over too many people....
Any other information or resources would be fantastic.
thanks

good evening bro...or sis.
unless bundang is any different from daegu, the labor board will not help you get a letter of release. i had difficulties -myself- with regard to the LOR situation, and discovered that the labor board has no influence with immigration.
screwng with your pay and taxes are another thing. they may make a report for you.
you should look at http://www.efl-law.com/
find the tax pages link. you can report your (ex)boss to the tax ministry for improper deductions....such can also be used if you need to influence immi.
if i were you, i would be down at immi at 8:30 tomorrow and tell them about the illegals...that will catch their interest. make sure you have your boss's full name and the address of the school.
on the efl-law website, you can download a copy of the release letter. print out the english and korean pages.
fill them out and take them to immi, and tell them you want to be released from the school.
the taxes and the illegals are your hooks, but this aint gonna be an easy catch.
if you DO go to the bundang labor board, my guess is that you WILL need a translator. |
