So I purchased a desktop off of a fine fellow Dave's member a month or so ago, and lacking a monitor I made use of my LCD TV as a screen. It's worked out quite well. The only issue is when I try to launch some games, I get a black screen - despite hearing the game and it running well (if I hit print screen it captures the game login screen).

My initial thought is an issue with the resolution and the TV, but no available resolutions work. Any thoughts on how to sort this out would be appreciated!

The resolutions don't match. The TV is not capable of whatever is set on your computer with that game. Can you choose a different resolution with the computer?
