I believe the email address you posted belongs to an employee of another afterschool program. I'd double check that. |

The big difference between afterschool programs seems to be whether you'll have a co-teacher or not. Some programs involve you going to the school and teaching, without the aid of a Korean teacher. In this case, the agency deals with parents in the way your co-teacher would... and occasionally someone from the agency will show up to the school for any assistance you might need.
I've found that the job is much better when you are working with a co-teacher in some capacity, on a daily basis. It allows you to have a connection to the parents and school. I don't know.
There's a lot of shady agencies out there running these kinds of programs. Sometimes its better to go with the big agencies just for the sake of them being more organized.
Just my two, hope it helps. |

The email address is for EduBest.
I work for them at the mo after doing an independent after school program.
I'm not fond of their curriculum~~ They produce their own crappy books riddled with mistakes and uninspiring black and white pages. They do use some other companies books which are okay. The curriculum doesn't emphasize speaking at all ~ more grammar, listening and reading. I guess I was fortunate in my last job I got to choose the books I taught and they came with really useful teacher's guides.
You get paid your salary every 20 teaching days so pay day will change every month. They provide lesson outlines and monthly tests. |
