For anyone here who may own property.

Can you tell me how much property tax you pay yearly and on what kind of/size of property?

Basically, my wife is on an F4 and I'm a foreigner. She can get an F5 (and thus me an F-2) if she owns property in which she pays a minimum property tax of 500,000won per year.

I won't go into my details, but if I extrapolate my taxes out to be 500,000 (mine are less than that), I would estimate that you would need to buy an apartment about 35 Pyoung and about 330 000 000 won. That's 3.3 억, or about equal to 300,000 US dollars.
Property taxes here are just a fraction of California taxes.

Just paid our land tax (no house there yet) and it came to a whopping 53,000 won.

No, that's not a typo. No, we do not own scrub brush.

I'm sure the taxes will go up once our house is built, but they will still be tiny in comparison to back home.
