Anyone know a place online or a shop where I can get kettlebells? Also is 24 kg too much? I haven't lifted in a while, but I usually machine pressed upwards of 220 kg and benched around 75 kg. |

you can buy them at http://speedandpower.co.kr/newsap/subpage/main.asp
i also MIGHT be selling mine. i have two, a 16kg and a 20kg one.
i'm 5'9" and 80kg and stronger than the average male. 16kg is too light, the 20kg is good, although i'd like to upgrade to 24kg.
i'm not sure what your height and weight are, but a 20kg would be a good starter for any guy that weighs 75kg+. |

I'm 6'1" and usually fluctuate between 165-175 lbs.
The 20kg might be okay but I do tend to max out quickly. I could be interested. Thanks for the link, have any exercises you've found very effective using kettlebells? I've heard it gives great full body results so I want to try it out. My main problem area is my chest, I was pushing 225kg on the machine with consistent 10-rep sets but there was no improvement...although there was no incline/decline. |

it's great for cardio and core development. if you have some flab, you'll burn it off fairly quick. the main exercise for kettlebells is the swing. as for your chest, kettlebells won't help too much with that. there are snatch and cleans you can do that will develop a little bit of your upper chest but don't expect any large gains in your chest area. to be honest, you don't need to do that many different exercises to see gains from kettlebell workouts. seems like you want to see muscular gains, so you might want to stick with traditional weights. kettlebells is more for functional strength and athletes.
you really were pushing 500 lbs on a bench machine? i'm sure you're aware already but you would definitely not be able to bench 500lbs on traditional weights and bench. |

Yeah the machine makes it vastly easier. I am not sure if I mixed up kg for lbs....I remember I had to put it on the last notch.
I am looking for functional strength as well as definition. I am not body building but I am expecting some physical results. If nothing else it will be a good supplement. |

i might be leaving in a few weeks. if i do, would u buy the 16kg and 20kg for 100k for both? that's an AMAZING deal being that they cost 80 and 90 respectively. plus, if u think either is too light, then you can do a double arm swing using both kettlebells (just alternate the kettlebell to your right/left arm after each set)
doing swings, you'll feel it in your whole back, traps, shoulders, forearms, hips and quads. it really is a great, intense workout. |
