Couldn't get the search feature to work for me, so if this has been asked/answered recently, my apologies.
I'm looking for the best US bank to go with while I'm living in Korea. Wells Fargo recently started charging 7 bucks a month for a checking account, so I intend to close my account when I visit the states in a couple of weeks.
I suspect what I'm looking for is:
The lowest incoming international wire transfer fee for both small (less than a thousand bucks) and large (potentially 10,000+) transfers.
No monthly maintenance fees
No minimum account activity
Lowest international transaction fees, for the times I may need to use my US debit card in E-mart or something
If there's anything I should consider when choosing a bank, let me know. The account will be used primarily just to transfer money to so my ma can write checks and pay my stateside bills in my absence.
What banks do you use and why? |
