Kim's Club has always had wine that cheap. That said, it's not really fun to drink. |

A lot of the big box marts carry wines that go for around 5000. I'm no sommelier, but I've found the Spanish table wines available at that price to be pretty good. |

If all you care about is price, there is Jinro House Wine. It tastes like Kool-Aid with extra sugar and rubbing alcohol though. |

Do you really want to be drinking cheap gutrot wine? Why not spend a little more and buy a quality brand.
A gentlemen should never skimp on alcohol or cigars. |

I had no idea you could get wine so cheap here in Korea, I mostly just use it for cooking. |

That stuff is horrible. Like railcar bum horrible. Jinro makes gin for a pretty good price however. Horrible bathtub swill it may be, but enough lemon and tonic water makes it palatable. |

Captain Q is also a pretty decent rum at just over W5k a bottle.
It is without question Korea's finest domestically produced dark rum. |

So that's what Captain Q is. I've never had to nerve to touch it. |

I searched the Captain Q label for an indication of what was inside...it does not say rum nor gin nor whisky. In Korean it says 일반주 which means something like plain booze.
If you have the 꿀떡s to tipple, let me know^^ |

This commercial reveals Captain Q's true nature as well as it's awesomeness: http://www.mgoon.com/view.htm?id=4396424
I'm a pretty big fan, but the old guys at the 슈퍼 laugh their asses off whenever they see me buying it. It's about the only dark rum you can find outside of the black markets. With Coke it tastes just fine. Way better than, say, Commander rum or even Bacardi Silver (I don't care for white rum). It's no sippin' rum, make no mistake, but just fine for cocktails and cooking. |

LotteMart sells a bottle for 1730. I think it's Spanish? Very, very, very sweet. |
