Augusts surge in inflation confirmed that agriculture is the weak point for Asias fourth biggest economy. Food prices rose 13.3 per cent compared with a year earlier. Inflation has now passed the 4 per cent ceiling, which the government has set as its target, for eight consecutive months. |

I wouldn't be surprised if vegetable prices move up further in the fall due to all the rain we received this summer. |

I've heard that this year's rice harvest was the worst in a long time. |

All that rain has to have had an impact, but....3 years? Big deal. Worst in 30 years...big deal. |

Let's blame Lee Myung-bak who wanted to raise the inflation in the first place. |

ooorrrr... we could blame a host of other factors.
I'm curious; why do you think LMB wanted/wants to raise the rate of inflation? |

It perfectly matches with his "big business" political direction. This is just like his 4 Grand Waterway Project with a white-collar criminal intention. Come on, a lot of Koreans knows this simple yet brutal fact.
By the way, it's not LMB; it's 2MB (standard abbreviation of his name in the internet-space). |

Again, I'll ask - When did he say he wanted to raise inflation? |

His MBnomics speech in 2008. Ring any bell? His macrobusiness policy is to encourage the inflation in some way to help the big business scene.
I recommend that you should stop supporting 2MB. |

He did say this when he announced something about deducting taxes for the rich. this was the main topic of 2008 in Korea.
Like I said before. 2MB, the President of Korea, is the biggest threat to the Korean public. |

I think some people are confusing his currency policy with his inflation policy. Although linked, they are different. I doubt he came out and said "I want to increase inflation." LMB's economic policies were aimed at keeping the value of the Won relatively low, increased inflation was a side effect. Now inflation is too high, raising the value of the Won will lower this somewhat. Although, it will lower the value of exports and slow down economic growth. Toying with the economy is complicated and your tactics have to change with the global environment. |

Yes, let's recommend that English teachers (most of who can't vote anyway) stop supporting the most English-friendly president Korea's ever had. |

English-friendly president? He's the Hagweon-friendly anti-foreign president. Roh was the only South Korean president to actually care about foreigners in Korea. |
