My guess is most people do, but I'm not sure. I think I do it a bit but maybe not even so aware when I am talking to myself. Just a while ago got a strange look, stranger than usual that is, from a guy outside. I realized I was talking/singing something to myself. Could have been the foreigner using English that got his attention too, as hearing drunk Korean men talk to themselves is routine.

talk to myself? sure.. everyone does it... not many will admit it..

I do more than most I think.. becuase I studied acting most of my life..
so I often make up scenarios and impro alot to myself..
especially when im driving.. keep myself amused in traffic..
of course my windows are tinted hahahahah...

yeah Ive always done it.. aslong as I can rememeber.. I like it..
keeps me sane...
couldnt imagine being alone with myself.. and not thinking aloud sometimes..
of course if im watching Tv I will not do it.. but if there is nothing to take my mind off anything.. and its boring.. I will start to act..

Sometimes I talk to the plants and the doorknobs. Never myself though.

I get some good answers when I talk to myself! I surprise myself at times!
I have a few friends who wake up in the morning, go into the bathroom, look in the mirror and yell sarcastically "who/what the hell you looking at!"

My mom said she thought I was losing my mind at one stage.

I talk to the TV, to the dishes, just everything. Some of the best conversations I ever had. Smile

I only talk to myself when there's someone around to hear me. Never when I am completely alone.

On a related note, I've found that Koreans do this a lot. I've seen plenty of seemingly normal men and women (and children) holding conversations with themself.

I don't talk to myself but I have been known to speak rather strongly to my computer.

I talk to my birds and plants. But I think the sounds and care has some effect on them.

To do it to myself, I think would be weird, maybe habit forming and thereafter distorting personality characteristics, especially if a conversation ensues.

Check that, I have berated the television occasionally.

And I do write in a diary, which is a kind of talking to myself.

No, but I talk to god via telepathy thru my head. He tells me to kill people and if I do he will reward me with colored lights and music in my head. So far I have chosen to ignore him Twisted Evil

I teach 6 year old children all day.

of course I talk to my self - I have to get sensible conversation somewhere!!
