I've debauched my body with fast food and alcohol and given it no exercise...for the past 10 years or so. Is it possible to get a general checkup for liver, heart, kidneys, diabetes, heart attack risk etc...

I went for a general checkup as part of the immigration requirements but I don't they they checked my liver and kidneys. My eyes and ears are okay.

Yessir, the good doctors can give you blood tests for hepatic function (liver, which includes enzimes and clotting tests), nephrotic function(kidneys) also urine test to detect protein in the urine(kidney function).

If you dont get frequent checkups, it is customary for a physican to order a battery of blood tests just to establish what he or she is dealing with.
Liver and Kidney fuction test are standard tests.

You are talking about a general physical examination. Which usually includes:

1, laboratory tests: blood, urine and feces routine; liver and kidney function. infectious diseas. (all above require only one blood sampling after fasting)

2, Image analysis: a B-ultrasound test covers pretty much all abdominal organs, a X-ray checks your lung and heart, if you are rich, you can choose CT or MRI (unnecessary though)

For cardio-pulmonary function test: not recommended for people without any symptoms.
When the impairment can be detected this way, your problem must be very serious.

If you are older than 40 or 45, a yearly cancer screening is recommended.

Edit: a gastroscope might be necessary if you drink often and also suffer from an indigestion.

There are many important tests to check your heart. There is a cholesterol and blood lipids test. You can have an EKG done. There is also a C-reactive protien test and last but not least you can have a cardiac stress test. They might do an ultrasound test to check your heart valves but i doubt it unless there are symptoms.

i know this thread is out-dated but, for a more thorough, general physical exam (more than the basic employment annual health check up), any ideas on prices? seoul national university's website quotes 580,000 won.
