Hi,

I am working with a recruiter for a potential job at this school. I've tried to find any information on it and haven't had any luck. Does anyone know of this school and have any experiences to relate?

Thanks!

Jen

Working at Maple College was a wonderful experience for me. The owners of the school are amazing people. They are extremely accommodating and took care of me from the moment I got off the plane. They made sure the transition from Canada to South Korea was as easy and enjoyable as possible. The faculty and staff were very helpful and kind from day one. They were there to help me with everything and anything I needed in those early days until I got the hang of things. Maple College requires its students are taught from the highest quality textbooks from which the students benefit greatly. The students enjoy being there and are great to teach. Living accommodations are clean and ideal. My apartment was very close to the school and right next to the beach. I met all kinds of amazing people both in and outside of school. Overall I am very grateful I had the opportunity to teach at Maple College.

Hmm. Why do I think of a hostage reading out a statement of his total agreement with the justice and mercy of his captors, while there is a gun to his back?

I live in Gwangali beach two blocks from Maple. I also know the current teacher working there.

Don't you want to teach adults in the center of Seoul ?

I currently work at Maple College, and have been here for three months so far. It's not a bad gig. Sometimes the hours suck, but you always get paid on time, the boss is AMAZING (his little wife is a different story but she doesn't speak English so you'll never have to deal with her), the staff is wicked friendly, there is a large foreign staff and many of the Korean teachers have studied abroad so can speak english well. You'll have to deal with the occasional brat, but overall the students are really sweet, some are hilarious, most are very hardworking. And location.. F-ing awesome. Literally a block from the beach, and within walking distance from the school. Feel free to PM for more info.

Hello,
I just got hired at Maple College at Gwangalli Beach location. I am waiting on my visa, but should be arriving in a couple of weeks. Is anyone working there currently who can contact me so I can ask some questions and give me some more feedback on the school? I tried to PM but can't until I've made 25 posts...Thanks!

Yeah I work there- welcome to the team! Is the branch location at Namcheon station? I can't pm you until I post 25 times as well... I'm a little hesitant about posting my personal information online, but I think I'm close to being able to pm you.. until then, I'm open to answer any questions you have!
