What are some things a recruiter will ask during their interview?
Up until now, all of the recruiters I've contacted have only communicated through email, but next week I will have a few phone interviews with recruiters. |

| Nothing to be nervous about. They just ask about your background, work history, and your interest and preferences for teaching. Mostly I think they are interested in hearing your voice and accent. Never been more than 15 min. Hope that's helpful! |

Speak slowly and clearly. Chill.
They're just going to ask you easy questions. Like if you can explain the difference between Piaget and Vygotsky's theories on children's social development. Harrr! Just kidding.
They are going to ask you:
1) Why do you want to come to Korea?
2) Have you worked with kids before?
3) Teaching experience?
4) Where do you want to live?
5) What age do you want to teach?
6) Some might ask you: How will you make classes fun and interesting?
(Answer: I like to use a lot of fun activities in class and competitions. I know that Korean students are very competitive in a good way. So I will use that to help motivate them to participate. Also, I will give them lots of opportunities to talk and practice what I taught them.)
7) Some might ask you: How will you control the class?
(Answer: I will use a reward system to help motivate and control the students. I'm not the kind of person to yell at all. So instead I will focus on rewarding kids who are participating. This will make everyone want to participate in a good way. For students that don't follow, I will speak with them quietly and try to find out what they like and try to use that in my lessons.) |
