Curious with all of the movements around the globe if anyone has heard anything about an Occupy Seoul movement?

Rather vague post, need more details.

There were protests of a few hundred people yesterday in Yeoido and Seoul Plaza.

If I had more information, I wouldn't be asking for information or what people had heard about it.

Thanks Son Deureo,

One search I did didn't come with much. It will be interesting to see if there's any response in Korea.

You just out of the blue wondered what "occupy" with "Seoul" means? Come on now, you must have earn those words together somewhere.

Yeah, I'm as baffled as you.

Anyone who has read or seen international news over the last two weeks (particularly this weekend) would know exactly what the OP was talking about and what kind of movement it was.

I am sorry, I don't. If it is so obvious, why don't you just explain it? Also, if it is so obvious, why did they have to ask?

Apparently, the OP and I are seeking information we don't have. Instead of being vague and insulting, try to be nice and informative. Can you?

I am baffled why someone wouldn't say, "Occupy Seoul is _____." if they knew what it was.

I'm not being nasty but you could try CNN, where there's links to global protests. You could also visit the site you use for a nickname koreatimes and read the first page for information.

I think this just posted earlier.

Do you live in a cave? Pretty much any English news site the world over is going to have information on Occupy Wall Street at this point.

Hey maybe they work in a hogwan and don't have deskwarming!? Laughing

But seriously northway, hit the headlines and Youtube and you can learn about it. There's more out than you could ever post about here in Dave's.
Good luck.

CNN has no protest labeled "Occupy Seoul".

On that site it references "Occupy Wall Street", and then it finished off "hitting Seoul". It says nothing about "Occupy Seoul".

Do you know how to read? Pretty much any English news site the world over is NOT going to have information on "Occupy Seoul". Occupy Wall Street, yes, but I never heard of "Occupy Seoul".

Children, children.

First, OP, wrong forum. Try Current Events.

Second, just answer the question. You could use a nice "Let my google that for you link" if you'd like, but really, it's a simple question. Sure, koreatimes is being lazy by not doing some research himself, but you're being snarky by not just telling him what you DO know. and for what?

Finally, remember folks - political activities are forbidden by your visa status (assuming you're on an E2), so if I were you, I'd keep my distance from these gatherings.
