Hello,
I am starting to gather the required documents to teach in Korea. But I've heard somewhere that your diploma has to be in English and if it's in Latin that could be problem. Well I went to a pretentious college and the whole thing is in Latin. What can I do about this? I need an answer from someone who can tell me for sure - like someone who had the same problem. Thanks. |

Bryn Mawr - don't see how that's relevant though. |

The first time (prior to the apostilled copy) I used my original with a translation attached. The second time I had to have it verified by the Korean consulate (Canadian school), so I can't tell you if anything has changed. That said, there are plenty of people here with Latin diplomas, so I'm guessing if you get a translation done you'll be okay. |

How did you get a translation done? Does it need to be 'official'? |

As long as Notary is in English, then you can get it apostille. But sometime latin degree comes with translation.

Mine's also in Latin. I never provided a translation of the diploma to Kimmi and didn't have any problems. The notarization and apostille were both in English, though. |
